MT is a bit of a beast. I relate my decision to choosing my surfboards from a shaper who knows their stuff.. and believe me Mr Jones knows!! You can easily spend a whole day lapping the pipe with the Jones. So if you want to use the slam back inserts a 21.5 stance width is whats required.

Edge Hold: The Mid-Bite tech has a really strong grip that doesnt grab too much in softer conditions. For example, in 2017 there was a 156 and a 156w. The 2013 Base is one of the fastest bases we came across and if well waxed can glide through almost any extended flat area without issue. The 2018 156 seems like its also slower than the 2017 156w by a little bit as well. Pipe: Its just the kind of pipe board a really accomplished rider will like but its not a forgiving easy ride for those that arent that strong.
